Our Extender is great for those who want a longer open time with the paint, to help minimize the look of brush strokes and to extend drying time.

Painting in a dry climate or a space with low humidity? You may find your paint dries too fast. Buy yourself time with our uniquely formulated non-toxic extender – simply add it to the paint and you’ll have more time to brush back and forth to get the look you’re after!

The recommended ratio of 15 mL per pint (500 mL) of paint.

Using too much of this product will increase drying time substantially, but also increases cure time.  Add a maximum of 10% of the original paint volume.

COVERAGE
1 bottle is good for 2-4 pints. Adding more is not recommended as it will impact your drying and curing time.

The recommended ratio of 15 mL per pint (500 mL) of paint.

WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE
Fusion Extender is a clear liquid and doesn’t change the colour of your paint.

CURE TIME
Using our Extender does increase the cure time and dry time of your paint.

WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE USED FOR?
Our Extender can be used with other water-based paint products.

Add it to your tough coat for a longer open time and a smoother finish.

Metallics can dry fast adding an extender helps with a brushstroke-free finish.

HOW TO USE
Add no more than 10% extender into your paint. Once mixed with Fusion Mineral Paint, apply paint as usual. You will notice a longer open drying time, thus giving you time to work with the paint and smooth out brush strokes.

Once your first coat fully dries, apply a subsequent coat as needed. We recommend waiting at least 4 hours between coats when using the Extender. Should you notice that applying your second coat is lifting off the first, either too much extender was used, or it needs more time to dry and cure before applying another coat.
